Terms of use
LAST UPDATED 2 NOVEMBER 2026
These terms are the deal between you and rin (mangorin.com). By creating an account or using rin, you agree to them, and to the privacy policy.
Who can use rin
You must be 18 or older, and allowed to agree to these terms where you live.
Your account
Give a name, phone number and email that are really yours, and keep your sign-in codes to yourself. One account is for one person: don’t add someone else’s phone number to yours, because whoever texts rin from a number shares that account’s memories. You’re responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us at hello@mangorin.com if you think someone else got in.
What rin does for you
When you ask, rin acts for you: she sets reminders, texts and calls you, writes calendar events and email drafts in your Google account, starts group chats with people you name, sends her notetaker into your meetings, and runs Claude Code on your computer. You decide what she does, so check her work before it matters. In particular:
- Claude Code edits files in the folders you connected. Commit or back up your work first.
- Only add people to a group, or to a meeting with her notetaker, if they’re happy to be there.
- rin writes email drafts; sending them is up to you.
Texts and calls
rin texts you: your sign-in codes, and the reminders, check-ins and routines you set up. How often depends on what you ask for. If you ask, she can also call you (for example, a wake-up call). Message and data rates may apply. To stop texts and calls, text STOP; text START to turn them back on.
What rin is, and isn’t
rin is an AI. She can be wrong, misunderstand you, or miss a reminder if a phone network or app fails, so don’t rely on her for anything where a mistake could hurt you. Her voices are made-up characters with their own personalities, not real people. She isn’t a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, therapist or emergency service. If you’re in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call your local emergency number, or 988 in the US.
Using rin fairly
Don’t use rin to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or spam anyone, or have her text, call or add to a group people who didn’t agree;
- get into accounts, numbers or computers that aren’t yours;
- make content that sexualises minors, or that promotes violence or hate;
- break, overload, probe or copy the service, get around its limits, or resell it.
We may suspend or close accounts that do, and we may report illegal activity.
Your content
What you tell rin stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run rin for you, as the privacy policy describes. We don’t sell it and don’t use it to train AI models.
rin’s side
rin’s name, mango, voices, website and software belong to us. While you have an account, you may use rin for yourself. That right is personal: you can’t sell it or pass it on. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Other services
rin works through other companies’ services: iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Google, GitHub, Claude Code and the meeting notetaker. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we aren’t responsible for what they do. If one of them changes or goes down, a feature that depends on it may stop working. Costs they charge you are yours, such as your phone plan, or the Anthropic account your Claude Code runs on.
Plans
rin is in beta. Switching plans is currently free and nothing is charged. If paid plans start, we’ll show the price and ask before charging you anything.
Availability and changes
rin is provided as available. We work to keep her running, but she may be down at times, and features may change, be added or be removed. If we ever shut rin down, we’ll give you reasonable notice so you can ask for a copy of your data.
Ending it
You can delete your account any time in Settings → account; the privacy policy says what happens to your data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
The legal part
rin is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed appointment, a lost file or lost profits, arising from using rin. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or US$50, whichever is more. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that can’t be waived.
Changes and contact
If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by text before it takes effect, and the date at the top will change. Using rin after that means you accept the new terms. Questions: hello@mangorin.com.
